Promoters should make
their returns to the Parish Office on Tuesday 14 July for
both July and August (£10.00 for each person) from 2.00pm
- 4.30pm and from 7.30pm - 8.30pm. The 2 Draws for July and
August will take place on Thursday 16 July at 10.30am in the
Parish Office.

Collection Counters

Cleaning of Church
The team for cleaning
the church during the month of July is Mary McGuigan’s
team. Many thanks to Patricia McDaid’s team for cleaning
the church during June.

Accord will hold Marriage
Preparation Workshops on September 18/19 and October 23/24
2009 from 7.00pm - 10.00pm on Friday and from 10.00am - 4.00pm
on Saturday at the Thornhill Centre, Culmore Road, Derry.

Strabane Youth
Association is running
a summer programme for junior members aged 6 - 11 years at
Melvin Hall from Monday 6 July - Friday 17 July. The programme
will have various activities including football, snooker,
games consoles, computer use, talent shows, quizzes etc. There
will also be trips to Go-Karting, Swimming etc. Cost 0.50p
per night. Places are limited so book early. Tuck shop available.

and to those they visit.
Activities: Visiting the sick; lonely; old;
hospitals; homes; promotion of the rosary through circulation
of the statue of Our Lady in the parish; book barrow for spiritual
literature.
“SPRED” (Special Religious Education
Division)
Melmount Centre, Strabane
Aims: Catechesis of the developmentally disabled
Activities: Spred is a diocesan network of
parish based communities, whose primary aim is the faith development
and parish integration of those with mild or severe learning
difficulties (mentally handicapped). Also, it is an on-going
adult faith development programme for those who volunteer
to help.
Third Tyrone Scouting Ireland Group
Mr Charlie Brown
Aims: To contribute to the development of
its members in achieving their full spiritual, intellectual,
physical, social and cultural potential as individuals so
that they may take a constructive place in society.
Activities: Exploring/compass work; mapping;
orienteering; hiking; climbing; camp craft (rope work, tying,
cooking, pioneering etc.); physical fitness and first aid
training; communications; water activities; international
camping.
St Vincent de Paul Society
Aims: To help members grow in the love of
God and their neighbours through direct personal services
to others.
Main Activities: Visitation, hospitals and
Greenfield Home; personal visits; bus for elderly; outings
and holidays for elderly; helping those in need.
Knights of St Columbanus

“SEARCH” Youth Group
